Operation Christmas Child

A ministry of Samaritan’s Purse, brings joy and hope to children in need all over the world by delivering shoeboxes packed with gifts and the message of Jesus Christ.

Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse, shares the love of Jesus Christ by delivering shoeboxes filled with gifts to children in need all around the world. What begins as an ordinary shoebox becomes something extraordinary when it’s packed with toys, school supplies, and other surprises. For many boys and girls, it may be the very first gift they’ve ever received.

These shoeboxes are handed out by local churches in more than 100 countries during joyful outreach events where the Gospel is presented in a way children can understand. A simple gift like a soccer ball, a doll, or a stuffed animal becomes a powerful reminder of God’s love for that child, their family, and their community. Many children are also invited to join The Greatest Journey, a 12-lesson discipleship course that helps them grow in faith and learn how to share it with others.

Here at the Davis Mountains Community Church, we are taking part in this mission. We invite you to join us in packing shoeboxes and helping spread the Good News of Jesus Christ through this simple but life-changing ministry. Together, we can make a difference—one shoebox at a time.

Each shoebox is a powerful gift, but it also takes help to get it delivered into the hands of a child. A $10 donation per box covers the cost of shipping and ensures these gifts reach children in need all over the world.

Here at Davis Mountains Community Church, we are collecting funds for the shoeboxes we are preparing. The money we gather will go directly toward covering the shipping costs for our own boxes, and we will turn it in with the shoeboxes when we deliver them to Operation Christmas Child.
